Freight, Haulage & Logistics in Cambridgeshire

Award-winning UK freight, haulage and logistics from a trusted family business based in Cambridgeshire

What our customers say about us

We’ve been one of East Anglia’s leading haulage companies…

For almost 100 years, trusted to deliver a range of services, from general haulage and pallet delivery to moving dangerous goods and abnormal loads.

We’re equipped to service clients of all sizes throughout the UK, operating out of three transport and commercial sites across central and eastern England, including Bedfordshire & more locally in St Ives.

Our relationships with our clients are really important to us. We work hard to understand their individual needs and support them with their day-to-day challenges – we also try to make it enjoyable whenever we can!

Our Solutions

Contract

Our centralised planning team routes our whole fleet of vehicles daily, and with our experience of groupage techniques to consolidate multiple orders we can fill our trailers and save our clients pounds in the process.

Our vehicles are located across the UK and can collect freight from wherever our clients’ goods are. We can even venture into Europe using our network of trusted partners.

Our combined 120 years operational experience and state-of-the-art software gives us incredible insights into the day-to-day movements, checkpoints, signatures and now pictures of our freight – and gives our customers the daily assurance through our portal that their deliveries are in safe hands.

Membership of the Palletline and Hazchem Network gives us the ability to get goods to the end customer across most of the UK, next day before 10am.

Palletline are the only 100% member owned network and the first to achieve the hat-trick of internationally recognised quality, safety and environmental accreditations (ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 1400) and we are proud to have been shareholding members since 2010.

We understand that visibility and quality is key to logistics operations and Palletline’s ‘Estimated Times of Arrival’ (ETA) capture is at 95%, with 85% accuracy and improving. With their new ‘Palleteyes’ hub system we can even watch each individual pallet travel through the hubs.

Palletline’s service levels are also consistently 2% higher than any other network in the UK.

It is also estimated that pallet networks remove the need for more than 800 vehicles on the road each day, considerably improving the green credentials of our operation.

We’re ready to support you in transporting your hazardous goods, from parcels to full loads.

We joined the Hazchem network in 2006 and have been running ADR vehicles since the 1990s. We’re experienced in the rules and documentation surrounding the transport of dangerous items and operate strictly within the legal framework expected. From labelling to safety advice we are here to advise and get our clients’ loads safely delivered.

We accept hazardous freight classes 2, 3, 4. 5.1, selected 5.2, 6.1, 8 and 9 as bagged product, in drums or cartons, on pallets, IBCs or polybulks.

Our drivers are qualified and among the most skilled on the road.

We also offer ADR warehousing for some classes to help you streamline your supply chain, reducing the movement and risk associated with hazardous transport.

We have in-house equipment and decades of experience to support you when you need to transport and install items of all dimensions. Our service is completely bespoke, tailored to your needs – and we love a challenge!

Our professional team is expert at fulfilling all of your same day deliveries, whatever the cargo. Our service is reliable, versatile and speedy, and our friendly team is always on hand to answer any queries.

Our affiliation with Palletline means that we have Preferred Carrier status with Amazon, with fixed daily slots to deliver into any fulfilment centre. Once a consignment is in the Palletline system, it is visible to Amazon’s CARP system.

Palletline has daily discussions with Amazon through its dedicated Amazon team, and weekly meetings ensure we’re able to keep up to date with any changes to Amazon Best Practice and Operating Hours, and able to keep you abreast of Seasonal Opening Times and Deadlines.

But it doesn’t stop there. Our extensive fleet and warehousing operation mean we can facilitate all types of Amazon supply chain management.

  • Accepting your goods in
  • Picking and fulfilling your Amazon Vendor orders
